has organized a conference on the construction of the vaults. Especially those by Juan de Álava in the New Cathedral of Plasencia.
In the sixteenth century came up Plasencia a "tourist" at the time, by some sources "scoundrel and bon vivant."
Villalba Bartolomé was called to his trip to Extremadura, spent by Plasencia and story in a manuscript something that surprised him then and now, with the restoration of a year and a half of the temple, again surprising to outsiders and tourists who visit us. Juan de Álava, Gil de Hontañón then, are the architects of these impressive vaults and as a palm tree mode, the pillars supporting it.

Eloisa Gil says to those who visit us "Cathedral Golden , a term that makes it unique and I coined from this blog. To me the terms Old and New Cathedral, I never liked. At least mention the Assumption Cathedral and the Cathedral of Santa Maria.
